The Will of Andraste under Empress Baulia of the Iceni is my newest army, recruited in Ionia and made up entirely of Hellenic units. The Consorts and the Burning Men currently spearhead my eastern campaigns against the Selucids. But they also field spears and light cavalry from Gaul as well as medium cavalry and heavy swords and spears from Italy. An early army that’s taken losses and replaced units, they’ve got a couple of Briton sword units as well as slingers, cavalry, and modded shield-maiden units. The Consorts of Morrigan, under Boudica (not the one who fought against Nero’s armies) are possibly my most hodgepodge army. But at the same time, they field a pair of heavy Samnite infantry units and heavy Italian cavalry. The Burning Men under veteran war-maiden Ressona are made up mostly of Iceni units, with a solid front line of noble sword- and spear-infantry. They’ve been stationed in Africa, but are currently en route to help some of my allies in Spain. One of my starting armies, they still have a lot of early game units, albeit ones that are heavily leveled up from training and battle. The Iron Fists under Belisama are my only army made up entirely of Briton units. In the above campaign, I’ve recruited Gaul warriors, Italian cavalry, and even Ionian pikes. But I feel like they struggle against late-game units from factions like Rome or Carthage.
Total war attila mods female plus#
They get as good of early- and mid-game units as the other barbarian factions, plus some heavy late-game infantry nobles and cavalry. The Iceni are a fairly middle-of-the-pack faction, in my experience.

My Iceni campaign is another where I’m making excellent use of the Auxiliaries mod. The above image is of a line of African pikemen in the service of Queen Tatta of the Ardiaei-a Balkan pirate faction. Secondly, it balances the crap out of an (if deliberately) unbalanced game.

Total war attila mods female mod#
So, as much as I love the women generals mods and various female units mods for Total War: Rome 2, I think the most useful mod I have is one that first expands the local auxiliary units that the Romans can deploy and then allows all playable factions to field these units.įirstly, this makes sense historically, given that competent generals were most likely to rely on local unit types when mobilizing an army in a foreign territory, whether mercenaries or conscripts. 2020 Auxiliaries! Auxiliaries for everyone!
